O2 Optix Limited Recall Home \ News & Events \ O2 Optix Limited Recall Look here for news of the limited recall of the Ciba O2 Optix Contact Lenses Notice to my Patients Ciba Vision has announced a limited recall of their O2 Optix brand contact lenses. You can click the link below to read the company press release regarding the reasons. It is my understanding that if the lenses YOU purchased were in the recalled lots, you will be notified directly by the Ciba Vision Company. Please remember that only a limited number of lots of these contacts are affected. If your lenses were not in the affected lots, then they are NOT BEING RECALLED and you may continue to wear them as usual. My understanding is that Ciba is changing their manufacturing process and for the next several weeks, no O2 Optix lenses will be available. If you have run out of lenses, you will not be able to purchase them for the next few weeks. This presents a problem for you and me both. Contact my office and let my assistant know you are wearing the O2 Optix and they will tell you what your options are. Be sure to let my assistant know the following: Did you verify online that your lenses are in the recalled group, how many lenses you have left that are not in the recalled group, your name and phone number.
